If you want to travel through Bali on your own, you should rent a bike. Due to the fact that the streets are mostly overcrowded, you will be able to avoid traffic jam on two wheels. On Bali I have the pleasure to discover the island with my friend Urs and his bike. One of the spots I want to see is the Tanah Lot temple. It´s a small temple that is located on a rock in front of the coast on the south of Bali. At low water you can walk over to the sanctuary. In that case you should be really careful, because the rocks are greasy and several tourists already slipped on their try to go over. We arrive at the beginning of the high tide and enjoy the view with blustering waves swirling around the temple rock. It´s strange that this place cast a spell on me, even though I´m not able to see it from close up.
