Birds are singing while flowers and grass border the runway. A picture of the Alps in the background makes me smile. It feels a bit like being on vacation. What happens then was pretty surprising. C´est Jolie is playing while the first five models literally ran down the runway. What happens backstage? A fire? Model number six starts to slow down. Pooh, I´m relieved, no problems backstage. Meanwhile the music takes me to a travel around the world from the French Riviera to the USA where Mr. Postman is waiting for me.
Like around the world in 8 minutes. The music is probably not the most important thing of a collection, but can create pictures in someone’s mind. When it´s about the collection I´m totally in love with her looks. The first part is marked by the use of beige and different shades of white in combination with checked patterns in light blue. Bows are a must have of the Lena Hoschek spring/summer collection 2014.
A dress covered with blue bows is one of the highlight of her collection. The second part of her collection is marked by dark and intensive colors like red and black. Pencil skirts underline this strong silhouette, while lace builds an interesting contrast. Lena Hoschek is well known for her petticoats and amazing prints. One of her characteristics are girls with curves.
But what happens this season? Skinny girls that looked lost in her dresses and straps that fell down their shoulders are pretty shocking as well as dresses with ruffles all over in candy colors looks weird. Dear Lena, I really love you and your collection, but please pick better music and curvy girls next season.
