The Petronas Towers are – with a height of 452 meters – still one of the highest buildings in the world. If you want to get there, take the Monorail to Bukit Bintang, from where it takes a 10 min walk, or choose the Star LRT to KLCC station.
My new friend Angela – we have met at Batu Caves two days before – and I decide to take the Monorail. Although the towers seem to be far away, I can´t hide my smile. We enjoy our walk, despite the tremendous humidity.
Even though the building is still a few meters away, it has a strange attraction on me, so that I start to walk faster. In front of the main entrance we find a small waterpark, where we take pictures an hour long.
Inside you have the chance to see one of the biggest shopping malls of the town, called the Kuala Lumpur City Centre. We plan to go on top of the towers, but it costs 40 Euros and you have to book the tickets at least one day in advance, so that we decide to enjoy the sunset while sitting in the water park instead.
