If there is one thing I´ve learned on all of my journeys, it´s the fact that you should never ever say never. I really I don´t want to miss the chance to explore new things. To go beyond the pale is what keeps us going forward. Years ago, I would have never tried breeded eggs, like I did on the Philippines. I wasn´t even able to imagine myself, walking around Rio all by myself from one side of the town to the other. Nowadays, I do all of these things. Maybe it´s a bit naive from time to time, but I love to jump into all those small adventures. Never say Never!
A no should never be an option when exploring another country on your own! Why should I say no, when a yes sounds so much better?
When I talked to my friends about my travel destinations for 2015 and my plan to go to china, they were looking at me in disbelief . I lost my fear since I have started to travel around the world. There are wonderful memories from each place and each person I have met along my journeys and I wouldn´t like to have missed one of them
It always seems to me that people love to put themselves into gilded cages. They always talk about leaving it, but haven´t the courage to jump out of the cage when the door is open, but you really should be able to leave your comfort zone to see whatelse is out there.
Three years ago, I was that little bird. I stood there and complained about my cage and as the door stood open I took the chance and jumped into the adventure that changed my life completely. I booked a flight to Rio and jumped into a new life. It was one of these moments that will last forever. Believe me, when I tell you that the world is too pretty not to be explored. Be aware, there are also dangerous and ugly places, but those ones are only a few places compared to all of those positive experiences which are gonna be overwhelming.
What I appreciate the most is the chance to get to know lots of amazing and fascinating people from all over the world and I´m very proud to call them my friends. With each journey the unknown world becomes a bit smaller and the world even more interesting than before.
NOW I get how this thing works! Lovebug, when I was 19 I got on a $99 RT flight for Jamaica and never looked back. ME, a poor kid from the neighborhoods of Chicago. And ever since, as soon as I’ve got the time and money, I’m GOING somewhere. Spent all my kids “college money” to take them travelling. I’m saying, you never know who you ARE, until you realize who you’re NOT.
Honey, China is a breeze. Think “United States” but in Chinese (which is not as hard as you may think). Japan is much weirder. Think “England” but in Japanese. Have a wonderful time. You’re gonna love it. Just don’t buy any “student” artwork!
