I hop on the wooden fisher boot, only reluctantly, while the sun shines bright over El Nido. We are passing rugged cliffs and bizarre stone formations on our way to the secret beach. I have no expectations as the harbor gets smaller and we are making our way across the ocean. After 40 minutes the boat gets slower and I´m able to jump into the waist-high water. I pass a rocky ledge and reach a lonesome white beach, hidden by rocks and furnished with palm trees. I´m standing with my feet in the water as the sun goes down and I notice, that the paradise is only one hour away from Manila.
