Einer der schönsten Plätze in Singapur sind die Gardens By the Bay. Diese parkähnliche Anlage befindet sich hinter dem weltberühmten Marina Bay Sands Hotel mit seinem Infinity Pool in 115 m Höhe. Touristen und Einheimische nutzen diese grüne Lunge der Stadt zur Erholung. Kurz bevor ich die Gardens by the Bay erreichte, überraschte mich ein kleiner Regenguss. Typisch für diese Klimazone, war die Sonne allerdings nach 5 Minuten wieder am Himmel und die Straßen trotz der hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit schnell getrocknet. Shorts und ein lockeres Shirt waren daher meine stetiger Begleiter für die Erkundung dieser faszinierenden Metropole.
Located next to the famous Marina Bay Sands Hotel you will find the Gardens by the Bay. Completed in 2011 it´s one of the worldwide tallest artificially created tropical gardens with 101 hectares. It´s the perfect place for locals and foreigners who wants to take some time out from town. To bear the heat I preferred to wear shorts and a simple shirt on my trip through Asia. To explore the tree-like towers, shell-shaped greenhouses and all the interesting flowers was one of my highlights in Singapore.
