On our last day in Rome we decide to visit the Vatican City. The fastest and simplest way is the metro A, direction Battistini, up to Ottaviano stop. After a 10 minute walk, full of souvenir shops and gelaterias, we arrive at St. Peter´s Saquare, from which we have a wonderful view up to the 400 year old St. Peter´s Basilica. We feel like pilgrims, surrounded by people from all over the world. Unfortunately the weather is not on our side this day, so that I decide to wear a light blue suit. It is fascinating to see the balcony, from which the pope speaks to Christians at St. Peter´s Square, on public holidays. Although we don´t have that much time, a visit is definitely worth it.
