As a designer, having your own show on Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is a huge dream for most of the upcoming talents. Calling Hien Le a newcomer would probably be wrong, because he had the honor to open the Fashion Week Berlin for the third time in a row.
Are his collections similar to those of some of the big brands? Probably, when you don´t take the time to analyze the amazing details. This detail love is what makes the different to every other brand and designer.
To say that his collection is similar to the one from A/W 2014 is absolutely wrong. There is a significant development visible in each of his pieces. Each season he interprets color gardients new, in a way I have never seen in any other collection before.
Checked patterns, warm bordeaux colors and unusual black shades are new and my highlights of the collection. White and grey instead of midnight blue or intense red are typical for this season. One element I always love are high-necked shirts.
Small details? Maybe, but true Hien Le fans will always recognize these elements and feel the difference of wearing a piece of his collections or a piece of a global brand.
